HIRE PROCESS


We’re here to help booking your trip as easy and as straightforward as possible. You’ll find everything you need to know here from booking the motorhome to drop off when you get back.

Booking your motorhome


At Coorie Doon we don't have an automated booking system. We prefer the personal touch. We would be happy to speak to you direct, and let you know if your ideal dates are available. If not, we will be happy to give you a few options in their place.
Please check “who can hire” page to make sure you are eligible to drive the motorhome. Then visit our booking page to see availability.
There is a minimum of 3 night hire, but for shorter trips please ask and we’ll see if we can accommodate you within our calendar. Sometimes it’s possible.
When booking your trip you will be asked to pay a 25% deposit at time of booking. The balance will be due 4 weeks prior to your trip. Bookings made with 4 weeks or less to travel will be asked to pay the total balance in full in order to secure your date.

As your trip gets closer


4 weeks before your trip we will email
You requesting some essential documents. These are really important in order for us to get you on the road so we can validate your insurance and fully confirm your hire contract.
Fit each driver we’ll need, a DVLA check code that is generated online. A scan or photo of your driving license, 2 proofs of your address from larger organisations, and an email answering our questions for your insurance purposes.

Motorhome collection day


Your home on wheels awaits. It’s time to get excited!
Your motorhome will be ready from 1pm onwards. On occasion There may be some changes to times if a same day turnaround must happen. This can occur during the high peak seasons and late returns can be requested with an extra charge and if possible.
When collecting your motorhome we will take the refundable hire deposit as a pre-authorisation on a credit card or bank transfer if you prefer. Please always bring your bank card with you.
Allow up to one hour for handover to run through all the motorhome features and to make sure you know how everything works. Don’t worry, if you run into any difficulties we’re only a message or phone call away.
We’ll do a video walk around with you to confirm the condition of the motorhome before you get going. We recommend you take your own photos and/or video too.

Returning your motorhome


The sad part!
We hate goodbyes too, but we’ll need to get your motorhome ready for her next adventure and so we ask that you return her no later than 10am.
We’re here from 9am but can do earlier on request.
You should return with the bedding stripped, cassette toilet must be emptied and flushed, water tank emptied and the vehicle in the same clean condition she was in when you collected her.
We will visually inspect the motorhome with you present and a full inventory check will happen when the vehicle is being prepared for her next hire.
Your deposit will then be authorised for return. It can take 4-7 days to appear back in your account. Depending on how it was paid.
